Principal's Message

Dear Live Oak Elementary School Community,

My name is Antonio Sanchez and I am very excited to start the year as the Principal of Live Oak Elementary School. I have had the pleasure of working with students ranging from kindergarten through 8th grade for the last 25 years. I am excited to share that I was an elementary school teacher for 15 of those wonderful years. I join you with the hope of adding my experience and love for learning to an already vibrant Live Oak community. I look forward to us continuing to grow together.

Above all, it is an honor to be entrusted with the leadership of a school with such a persevering student body, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. I look forward to being a part of Live Oak and working in support of our students and families. I can’t wait to meet everyone and to have an amazing year.

About Live Oak Elementary School

Live Oak is located at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, surrounded by rolling hills, in the northern section of the Santa Clarita Valley. As part of the Castaic Union School District, the attendance area is large and encompasses 150 square miles.

Live Oak School serves a student population of approximately 475 students in grades Kindergarten through 6th. Our school includes students from diverse cultural, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds. We strive to provide a learning environment that motivates each student to reach his or her maximum potential.

Live Oak is a school where parents and staff members have formed an alliance for children. Teachers are committed to educational excellence and work together in a cooperative, supportive, and professional manner. Parents offer support and guidance to the school. They participate in goal development as well as serve on councils and committees.

Committed to all of our students, we continue to believe in our mission to provide opportunities for students to become life-long learners and contributing citizens in a changing world. Through collaboration, we work toward our common goal of developing productive students and innovations in curriculum and instruction.

Sincerely,

Mr. Antonio Sanchez
Principal
